Mounia Saaiou holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and Health from The Faculty of Sciences Ibn Zohr. Fascinated by the complexity of living organisms, she naturally directed her interest toward animal physiology to understand the fundamental mechanisms governing body functions. Throughout her academic journey, she developed a multidisciplinary approach by combining her passion for physiology with pharmacology, bioinformatics, and biostatistics.

Driven by a desire to apply computational and quantitative tools to complex biological questions, she joined Professor Yusmaris Cariaco’s laboratory for her Master’s degree. Within the Cariaco Lab, Mounia is eager to leverage her background to support ongoing research projects while continuing to expand her scientific expertise.
